About Calliope:
Since 1976, Calliope has been a nonprofit educational and presenting organization that promotes and preserves traditional and contemporary folk music and its allied arts.

Calliope operates a folk music school, a subscription concert series, and sponsors concerts and jam sessions throughout the city. Calliope also operates an outreach program that offers free music lessons to children throughout the Pittsburgh area.

Since 2005, Calliope's administrative offices have been located at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shadyside. Our subscription concert series is held at the Carnegie Lecture Hall in Oakland.
